LONG-TERM CARE FACILITIES 

Our geriatric consultative team is experienced in providing direct services as well as education and training across the geriatric care continuum. Whether you are an assisted living center, personal care home, or skilled nursing facility, our geriatric clinical and educational consultants can assist you in not only enhancing the quality of life for your residents but in achieving and sustaining regulatory compliance. We have extensive experience working with special focus facilities, facilities on provisional licensure, and facilities under temporary management.

Clinical Services Include:

-Psychological/Mental Health Assessments for Diagnostic Clarification (prevent deficiencies from so-called "Schizophrenia Audits" through appropriate psychological assessment and intervention services

-Direct Provision of Psychological/Counseling Services to Older Adults Experiencing Mental Health Challenges (provided at your facility)

-Medication Management Reviews 

-Psychopharmacologic Drug Recommendations

-Appropriate Therapeutic Recreation Interventions as Alternatives to Psychotropic Drug Utilization

Staff education is available on multiple topics related to mental health and quality of life topics. We specialize in providing education and training programs in the area of trauma-informed care. We have helped several skilled nursing facilities in Pennsylvania transform their resident care practices from "business as usual" to trauma-informed organizations, consistent with requirements at F-699.

-Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) Training Program (Approved Trainers by the International Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners)

-Staff Recruitment and Retention Strategic Planning based on Industrial/Organizational Psychological Principles

-Individual Education and Training Programs- Based on Facility Need

Programming is also available to help your facility staff address the unique needs of older adults with neurocognitive disorders (more commonly referred to as "dementia"), consistent with the requirements found at F-744. We offer dementia education programming to make your staff eligible for certification as dementia practitioners (CDP).
